Call for Submissions – Special Issue: Immune Insights: Translating Science to Care

Dear students and trainees,

We invite medical students, resident physicians, PhD students, and postdoctoral fellows at the University of Toledo to submit short review-style manuscripts (≤800 words, ≤10 references) to Translation for a special issue titled “Immune Insights: Translating Science to Care.”

This is a great opportunity to contribute to a peer-reviewed publication and share your perspective on topics that bridge basic science and clinical care.

To participate, please submit a brief proposal including:

  • A 1–2 sentence topic description
  • A proposed title
  • Proposed authorship (maximum of 3 authors)

Submissions should focus on focused, high-yield topics in translational immunology or microbiology that are relevant to clinical care and education, ideally centered on a specific concept, challenge, or emerging idea that would be valuable to learners.

Proposal Deadline: July 1, 2026

If your proposal is selected, you will be invited to submit a full manuscript. All submissions will undergo the journal’s standard peer review process, and acceptance is not guaranteed.
