Cohetes [archived]
Cohetes is a biannual, open-access journal of creative writing in Spanish developed at the Department of World Languages and Cultures, in association with University of Toledo Press. Its main goal is to make public a selection of works written by undergraduate and graduate students, mainly in the short story and literary essay genres, as a result of their learning and practice in the target language and their outstanding achievements as scholars in upper level courses. Both the template of the journal and the contributions are displayed in bilingual format, as a way of reaching a broader audience of readers within and outside UT’s community, and also for their potential pedagogical and intercultural uses.

In Factis Pax: Journal of Peace Education and Social Justice
In Factis Pax is a peer-reviewed online journal of peace education and social justice dedicated to the examination of issues central to the formation of a peaceful society, the prevention of violence, political challenges to peace and democratic societies. Social justice, democracy, and human flourishing are the core factors which highlight the importance of the role of education in building peaceful societies. We invite articles and book reviews on topics related to these central issues.

Learning to Teach Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies Through Research and Practice
Learning to Teach Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies Through Research and Practice publishes manuscripts that address curricular innovations, thoughtful discussion of current issues for practice, or essays that inform, advocate for a position or persuade. Manuscripts must address subject-matter specific interactions of teachers and learners.
Aims —The aims of this journal are to provide an outlet for the initial publication by preservice and beginning teachers and to disseminate these works to current and future colleagues.
Audience — The primary audience is current and future licensure candidates in all subject areas, grades PK to 12. This journal is also of interest to local teachers and school administrators, program and university faculty, and college administration.
Submission Guidelines —Manuscript style is APA. Abstracts are 120 words. Manuscript length is 2000 to 2500 words, excluding abstract, tables, figures, and references. Figures must be in jpg format. Tables and figures must represent original work of the author. Photographs that include people other than the author will not be published.
Frequency — Published yearly each August; distributed electronically with limited print copies.
Acceptance Rate — 60-65%

Performance, Religion, and Spirituality
PRS is an international, bi-annual, peer-reviewed and open-access journal devoted to expanding and deepening discussion about the performed and performative dimensions of religion and spirituality, as well as the religious and spiritual dimensions of performance. The journal promotes rigorous scholarship about the social, cultural, philosophical, and theoretical implications of religion and spirituality as aspects of theatre, the arts, everyday life, politics, language, history, and the sciences. PRS views ‘religion’ and ‘spirituality’ from a global perspective and as inclusive of secular and atheistic currents of thought and practice.

The mission of the Studying the History of Higher Education Journal is to offer graduate students of higher education history, as well as other explorers of higher education history, a venue to publish their historical research, and to foster dialogue on the history of higher education in the academic community.

Translation: The University of Toledo Journal of Medical Sciences
Translation: The University of Toledo Journal of Medical Sciences is the online journal launched by the University of Toledo. Manuscripts will be considered on the understanding that they report original work and are not under consideration for publication by any other journal. The journal publishes original articles reporting experimental results of basic or clinical research, case reports, and reviews.
The journal uses a single blind peer review system and each manuscript, based on the results presented in its original submission, will be evaluated by two student reviewers and one faculty reviewer.
This process will provide an opportunity for medical students, graduate students, residents, fellows and faculty to publish research observation in a timely manner.
